Our world today can often feel isolating. It’s difficult to find connection in a world that places such importance on surface-level issues – let alone find something akin to community. This blog will cultivate a safe space for all. Discrimination of any kind will not be permitted. If you choose to harass, and/or threaten another individual, you will be banned from the site entirely. I understand that topics and viewpoints I discuss may not align with your personal views, and that is okay. Let it be clear that this blog is through the lens of my experience. If you do not agree, first, I invite you to ask yourself what makes you uncomfortable with the information being communicated? Second, I implore you to examine why the particular topic may leave you feeling frustrated, and opposed?
Third, ask yourself how you can continue to consume the information that may not be something you know much about and/or agree with, but with an open-mind? If after these three questions, you still feel the need to voice your opinion, I invite you to create your own platform where you can articulate your thoughts and feelings. Lewd vocabulary, and hate speech of any kind will be removed – not in an attempt to silence, but rather to protect.
As this is a community, everyone should feel empowered to flag inappropriate comments. We can all do our part in protecting one another.
